Morton, Kara2026-01-222026-01-222024http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.13013/3797In this project, students share an idea for schools to organize a soiree, addressing mathematical concepts from Basic Education in a creative, playful, and interdisciplinary way. The event is planned to last approximately one month. Students would be formed into groups, free to choose which art form and mathematical content they would like to address. Some classes in the first two weeks would be dedicated to this decision, along with research in books and online on the topic, and organizing the spaces to be used. In the third and fourth weeks, the students would create plays (recorded on video), poems, paintings, photographs, and sculptures. On a weekend day, with parents invited to attend and appreciate their children's work, the students would exhibit their creations and explain their relationship to mathematics to their classmates.
