Abstract
Mrs. Elsa Lieberles of Lynn, Massachusetts, born 1910 in Aschaffenburg, Germany, and raised Jewish, provides Holocaust survivor testimony. In the first part, she discusses her early childhood, schooling, parents/sister, politics, and the Nazi rise.In the second part, she talks about leaving, preparations for the trip over, coming to Lynn, and encountering the Lynn Jewish community. In the final part, she discusses the Jewish community's response to German Jews. (It is noted within the first cassette case that her sister made the trip back to her hometown in 1978 on a commemorative trip, and Mrs. L. had literature on the trip). Digitized from two sides of one cassette tape, and one side of another, amplified.
