The Holocaust Center, Boston North, and Temple Ner Tamid, Peabody, Mass., host a tribute dinner to honor Sonia Schreiber Weitz as "Woman of Courage." The tribute includes remarks by Debbie Coltin (Tribute Co-Chair), Rabbi David Klatzker (Temple Ner Tamid), Cliff Rucker (Past President, Temple), Harriet Tarnor Wacks (Director, Holocaust Center), Sonia Weitz herself with thanks, Scott Feinstein (President, Temple), and Margo Strom (Facing History). Sonia Weitz was suffering from cancer at the time, and this was one of Mrs. Weitz's last public appearances before her death on June 23, 2010.
