Published by photographers J.W. & J.S. Moulton, at 256 Essex Street, Salem, Mass., as part of "American Scenery," c. 1874. Depicted home owned by James C. Briggs, according to the city directories, and is listed on the back as "M.E.B.'s" (Mary E. Briggs, J.C. Briggs' wife) "little hut, 1874—"
