Abstract
Pronunciation and vocabulary are two important elements in English language learning. This pilot study uses a qualitative approach to investigate the relationship between pronunciation and vocabulary choices of multilingual English language learners. In the study six different instruments were used to assess the participant’s pronunciation and their reasons for her vocabulary choices. The results showed that there is a variation in the participant’s pronunciation at the segmental and phonotactic level and her responses indicated that pronunciation has an impact in vocabulary choices as well.
