SV285 — Nelson Dionne Collection. View looking down the North River at the Eastern Railroad tracks from near the intersection of Bridge and Washington Streets, behind the court houses. Train cars are visible, and a sign to the right states, "Rail Road Crossing Look Out." The tracks cross over a causeway in the river; the body of water to the right in this view, St. Peter's Basin, has since been filled. Published by Charles G. Fogg, 163 Essex Street, Salem, Mass., c. 1874-76.
