Abstract
Eric Kahn, born 1929 in Wiesbaden, Germany, and raised Jewish by a Jewish-born father and Christian-born mother, provides Holocaust survivor testimony. Mr. Kahn describes his early life in Wiesbaden detailing the progressive loss of rights for Jews, the destruction of synagogues during Kristallnacht, his father's imprisonment in Dachau, his family's failed attempts to flee Germany via the Kindertransport and other routes, and the eventual deportation and murder of his schoolmates at the Sobibor death camp.
