Professor Jean O’Brien (White Earth Ojibwe) is Regents Professor in the Department of History at the University of Minnesota. The program focused on her classic book, which traces the persistent myth of the “vanishing Indian” to its origins in nineteenth-century New England. Held at the Recital Hall at 71 Loring Avenue.
