Published by photographer Edwin N. Peabody, c. 1876-94. According to Salem city directories, the photographer lived at the home to the left (the house of his father, merchant Alfred Peabody) until about 1890. The Alfred Peabody House was taken down when Gedney Cut was expanded and extended into Gedney St. during the construction of Salem Post Office in the 1930s.
